Ingredients

  • 455 g dates
  • 8 g baking soda
  • 550 g boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 270 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Combine dates, baking soda, and boiling water; hydrate 5 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; mix just to combine.
  3. Bake at 350° F for 35–40 minutes.
